David Arbuthnot
Principle member of Peninsula Loss Adjusters and Investigations, he started his career in the South African Police Service in 1993 as a Detective at Rondebosch gaining valuable experience in all forms of criminal investigations.
Through his nine years experience as a Detective he worked at the West Metropole Armed Robbery Task Team and Major Case Management Unit investigating syndicate crimes. Additionally, he was selected as a member of the Disaster Management Investigation Team.
David left the police in 2001 where he joined a private company in Cape Town as a Loss Adjuster and Surveyor specializing in Marine Insurance claims. Through 8 years with the company, he managed the Cape Town office whilst handling surveys and investigations at most major ports and cities throughout South Africa.
Additionally, he is qualified as a Forensic Psychophysiologist through the American International Institute of Polygraph and an accredited member of the American Polygraph Association (APA) and South African Professional Polygraph Association (SAPPA).
He has built up an extensive and reliable network of contacts in the South African Police Service, Traffic Department and Government Institutions as well as with Salvage Agents to aid him in his investigations.
